TaylorMade have been one of the first major brands that have created a 5-layer golf ball that its suited for the top players of the game. US company TaylorMade have designed and produced a range of great golf balls for the many types of players. Their feature golf balls are the TP5 and TP5x. These golf balls are both 5-piece which is not the type of construction you see very often. Only a few other companies around the world have produced a 5-layer golf ball including Japanese company Kasco and German company Vice Sporting Goods.
What They Both Do
Both the TP5 and TP5x are exceptional golf balls but they’re not for your beginners or high handicappers. They have an incredibly soft feel but you would expect this from a ball with 5 layers. TaylorMade have introduced some of the latest tech to make these golf balls even better than the last version. The new HCM or High-Flex Material has been introduced to make the golf balls fly even faster, if you thought that was even possible. With less drag and more carry the balls have improved on speed.
They have excellent distance as well as superb spin and control and are designed for use with every wood and iron club in a player’s bag.
